Korean contents such as TV dramas, documentaries have been exported more than 37% improved during the first half year comparing to the same period of last year. The record of export this year is over $31million.

KOCCA (Korean Creative Contents Agency) operated the Korean collaborated exhibit booth at Film Mart in Hong Kong, MIPTV in Cannes, STVF(Shanghai TV Festival), DISCOP in Hungary with more than 30 Korean companies like KBS media, SBS content hub, MBC, CJ E&M.

Especially during the first half year, Korean contents were exported to Europe and South America the most. KBS’s Iris was exported to the French company DoubleV and ‘Boys Over Flowers’(꽃보다남자) was sold to France, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Kenya. MBC’s ‘Naughty Kiss’(장난스런 키스) goes to Israel, ‘Dae Jang Guem’(대장금) to Rumania, Bangladeshi. StarTV in India has decided to remake ‘You Smile’(그대웃어요). CJ E&M’s ‘Manny’ has been sold to Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador as well.

Among the documentary field, EBS’s ‘Ankor, Land of God’ was exported to Smithsonian Channel in the U.S. Alliance Film in Canada bought ‘Dinosaurs in Korean Peninsula’, Mammoth in Korean Peninsula’. With high demanding of 3D contents throughout the world, 3D Plan made a contract with Major 3D channels in Russia and China for Magic World.
