The Grace (Dana & Sunday) Changes “One More Chance” for MBC’s Regulations
In the song “One more Chance”, recently released by The Grace (Dana & Sunday) has already been causing a bit of a controversy. I’m not sure what the problem is but apparently, MBC doesn’t like the girls mentioning soju shots and drinking large glasses of wine.
The lyrics says, “I don’t like soju because the glass is too small, it make my face look bigger. The rice wine glass is big, and holds more. That’s just my style.”
In order for the song to be played on MBC, “soju” had to be changed to “espresso”, and “rice wine” had to be changed to “latte”.
I don’t know where to start, because there are way to many things I can do to talk about this. In a funny way of course, because I’m picturing this in my head right now and it’s completely “hildiculous” (= ridiculous + hilarious. I made this word up just now and I feel like a complete genius).
First of all, sweetie, I don’t think it’s the soju glass that’s making your face big. It’s you. I think it’s time to put down that bucket of fired chicken and check-in on that date with Mr. Salad Bar.
Second of all, because I like picking apart hildiculous lyrics. Shouldn’t the correct flow be “… The rice wine glass is big, therefore it makes my face look smaller”? But instead of that, the meaning of that whole line was changed to her wanting to drink with a bigger glass–ONLY cause it was her style. Forget self-awareness! It’s all a trick!
“Did I ever say my face was big? No no, it’s only because the bigger wine glass is making my face smal— I mean, it’s my style ok?!
Thridly, and perhaps most important of all. Coffee totally pwns alcohol anyday. If anything, better lyrics! Evidence below:
Take that soju shot glass! you ain’t got nothing on latte art!
