Alicia: My Horse Story is a unique, Korean MMO that just closed beta in the last few months. Created by GameTree, Alicia allows players to breed and raise horses to race or just keep and enjoy on a farm. With five customizable characters to choose from, players can create their own unique riders and horses.

Here’s a beautiful trailer to help you get a feel for what Alicia is all about: imagination.

The girl in the video is IU, a popular Korean singer and actress; her image and iconic beauty are only helping to fuel the excitement surrounding this game.

A few game features to note:

    • FREE to play
    • Colorful imagery and creative environments
    • Customizable characters and mounts = investment in your characters
    • Special abilities such as wings, speed boosts and more
    • Compete online against others or yourself for bragging rights and fun

As of this moment, Alicia: My Horse Story is only available in Korean and can be played for free on The Official Website. Meanwhile, those of us who aren’t fluent in Korean are wondering – when will WE get to play?

Why this game is good for girlgamers:

Horse breeding and training is an actual profession, not just a fantasy – it could help inspire an actual career choice.

Competition is healthy, and customizing your horse’s abilities to win a race is a simple but effective way to learn goal-setting.

MMOs encourage interaction. Sure, it’s not with a live person and as always – be careful who you give personal information to online – but studies have shown that interactive video games help to build confidence.

No word yet on whether additional servers will launch in other countries or languages, but if we find out, rest assured we will share!
