“The Last Godfather,” directed by Shim Hyung-rae, will open April 1 in 12 North American cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and Vancouver, according to a report in today’s Variety.

Roadside Attractions has acquired North American theatrical rights to the hit Korean comedy from CJ Entertainment, with Lionsgate reported to be handling home video and other ancillary rights.

Shim also stars in the movie as the son of a mob boss played by Harvey Keitel.
